Abstract

Frequency domain EM uses tuned circuitry to get maximum efficiency out of a small electromagnetic system. This small size allows for measurements unique to FDEM, including vertical coaxial (X component) transmitters and the in-phase component of the secondary field. These measurements provide spatial resolution and sensitivity to a range of conductivity wider to commercially available time domain EM systems.
