Abstract
To explore the EERW paradigm for improving assay sensitivity of proof of concept studies (POC) in NP, patients with painful diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, small fiber sensory neuropathy and idiopathic sensory neuropathy with mean average daily pain ≥ 5 and <10 (0 to 10 NRS) for a 3 day baseline period were titrated to efficacy with pregabalin and entered a 10 day maintenance period. Responders were defined by decrease in mean of average daily pain from last 3 days of baseline to last 3 days of maintenance period.
