Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the potential of the ERCoRe learning model in enhancing students’ collaboration skills in higher education. A quasi-experimental design was employed in this study. The participants consisted of eighty- four students from the 2018-2019 admission batch at the Department of Biology Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Educational Sciences, Universitas Sulawesi Barat Indonesia. Forty-four students were assigned to an experimental group taught with ERCoRe, and the rest (40 students) acted as the control group who were learned with lecturing and discussion methods. The instruments used to collect the data were comprised of observation sheets and tests. Data analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA. The analysis results showed that students in the ERCoRe group obtained higher scores in collaboration skills than students from the control group. Therefore, the ERCoRe learning model can be used as an alternative model to enhance students’ collaboration skills in higher education.
