Immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)-mediated myocarditis is a rare but devastating side effect of cancer immunotherapy with up to 40% mortality and long-term cardiac issues such as arrhythmias and heart failure in affected patients.1 Recently, Axelrod etal.2 suggested an auto-antigen-driven mechanism as the immunological basis for this disease.
