Abstract

This scientific work presents the results of research on the use of heat pipes in helium dryers placed in a greenhouse, where it reuses heat from the greenhouse to heat the drying chamber. Experiments have shown that the average value of the heat pipeefficiency is equal to 0.33 when the air velocity changes from 2.54 m/s to 5.08 m/s. This difference is equal to 10.8% from the maximum value. This result decreases as the number of rows increases, and when the number of pipes is increased from 2 rows to 16 rows, the average value of the variation in efficiency is equal to ~0.80. Its difference from the maximum efficiency is equal to 3.6%.
