Abstract

Abstract Maximum allowed dimensions and masses of vehicles are not strictly uniform in European Union. Each country could modify these values. The paper deals with selected longer and heavier vehicle combinations which are currently known as a European modular system. These vehicle combinations bring new possibilities how to make road freight transport more effective. This paper analyses several impact which are associated with longer and heavier vehicle combinations.
