Abstract

An electromagnetic device has been developed for rapid testing of ferromagnetic reinforcement in reinforced concrete structures. The device consists of two flat frame magnetizing coils and a receiver of the stray magnetic field from the magnetized reinforcement. Numerical simulation of the proposed device has been performed, allowing one to select the optimal ratio of its dimensions and evaluate its expected characteristics. The possibility of receiving a signal functionally related to a change in the reinforcement diameter is shown.
