Abstract
The available material concerning <i>Scirpo-Phragmitetum</i> phytocenoses from the whole territory of Poland was analysed. The results indicate that it is a complex unit which should be separated into a number of taxons ranking as associations such as <i>Phragmiteturn, Scirpetum lacustris, Typhetum angustifoliae, Typhetum latifoliae, Sparganietum erecti</i> and <i>Eleocharitetum palustris</i>.
