Abstract

The seasonal pattern of changes in population structure of Theromyzon rude in Alberta shows a breeding period extending from May through September. Young first appear in the field population in July and continue to form a large proportion of the population through October. A seasonal migration into the shallow water zone during the ice-free period and from the shallow water zone into the deep water zone during the period of ice cover was determined.
