Abstract

The article is dedicated to the representation of one of the leaders of the constitutional democratic party V. A. Maklakov about the main ideas of the Russian liberals in 1906, the period of work I the State Duma, the importance of interaction between government and society with the aim of strengthening the state and protection of the right to initiative. The interpretation by Maklakov circumstances of the growing popularity of the cadets in 1906 revealed its socio-political values: the state, establishing the legitimacy that ensure the integrity of the country; a person of interest in the rule of law, freedom, and prosperity; the constitutional rights of citizens and reasons for criticism of the cadets of the monarchy.
