Abstract

This study examines the policies of tourism office government to enhance the visit of tourists in Badung. This study is a descriptive study with qualitative data support. Data collection instruments were observation, interview, and documentation. Results of this study showed that the policies of the government of Badung tourism office function to provide guidance, traffic signs and signals important in the development of programs and activities, to provide information about what strategies and how they are applied within the society, to provide guidance to implementers, for smooth operation and integration efforts to achieve the vision and mission of Government Tourism Office. In order to achieve the vision and mission of the Badung Tourism Office, they formulated strategies through the establishment of policies, programs and activities that are carried out every year. These strategies include implementing the tourism development by improving the quality of objects and attractions and tourism facilities, increasing the amount of tourism development by fostering community members in the field of tourism, developing the tourism industry, improving the promotion of an integrated and sustainable tourism by providing promotional media, and following the tourism events both inside and outside the country. Badung Tourism Office Policy produces good effects for the tourism sector in the region. It is evidenced by an increase in the number of tourists who visit the region every year.
