Abstract
There has been developed a new method of radial injection of ions from an external ion source for the U-120 cyclotron which exploits the effects of double charge exchange. The reached injection efficiency for protons and deuterons is ξ 1=0.14, the efficiency of acceleration and extraction of deuterons is ξ a =0.01.
