Abstract

Abstract Brumfitt has addressed an important issue in the rehabilitation of aphasic patients. She challenges the current approach to remediating only the linguistic and communicative aspects of aphasia and setting the personal impact on the patient aside. The ideas expressed in my commentary are from those experiences which have been gained during almost 10 years of clinical work with aphasic patients either individually or in a group.
