Abstract
The name of Viktor Borisovich Shklovskii, one of the oldest Soviet theorists and historians of art, writer and screen writer, is well known to the Soviet reader. This year is particularly noteworthy for the writer, because Viktor Borisovich will be eighty on January 25. Khudozhestvennaia literatura Press is planning, in this connection, the publication of a three-volume collection of Shklovskii's works. Simultaneously, Iskusstvo Press is preparing for publication his book on Sergei Eisenstein.
