Abstract
A portion of the Pu-C-O condensed ternary phase diagram has been examined. A single-phase field containing a Pu(C, O) phase was found. Lattice parameter data arid the composition range for the Pu(C, O) phase are described. Adjoining the Pu(C, 0) singlephase field, three two-phase fields containing Pu + Pu ( C, O), Pu 2 O 3 + Pu( C, O) and Pu 2 C 3 + Pu( C, O) were found. A three-phase field containing Pu + Pu 2 O 3 + Pu ( C, O) was also delineated.
