Abstract
The European guidelines on critical chronic ischemia (CCI) identify sub-groups of patients at risk. Sarcopenia was highlighted as a factor of poor prognosis after infrainguinal revascularization, but the evaluation of sarcopenia on the preoperative CT-scan is regarded as tiresome in current practice. The platelets/lymphocytes ratio (PLR) is a marker of sarcopenia in other specialties, like digestive surgery or oncology. The aim of this study was to assess whether the PLR could be a fast marker of sarcopenia in patients presenting CCI.
