Abstract

Abstract Data have been obtained on the mechanical properties of rubber, two-component rubber-carbon black systems, and loaded raw rubber mixes at various temperatures and under different stresses. The true viscosity and the elasticity modulus of a raw rubber mix depend on the time, temperature, and the magnitude of the applied force ; it is suggested that this is a consequence of the variability of the structure of the mix under stress and on heating.
