Abstract

The International Space Station is equipped with the plasma-contactor unit that emits plasma. We demonstrate that the geomagnetic field strongly affects plasma-plume expansion, resulting in recurrent changes of Station plasma environment. We further present a method of calculating the plasma-plume characteristics and compare the prediction with the flight data.
