Abstract
A study of the plankton of such ponds is of interest because of the additional information thus obtained regarding pond organisms and because of the possibilities of their relation to cave fauna. Also, as the ponds may be the sources of the large springs for which these regionsare noted and often popular. the contents of their waters are important as possible sources of pollution.
