Abstract

Islam encouraged social assistance in all spheres of life. One of the groups in need is orphans. The verses of the Qur'an and the hadiths pay close attention to orphans and set out the conditions and provisions for their well-being. Islam aims to protect, shelter, represent, guarantee, value property, and treat orphans with compassion and mercy. The verses of the Qur'an and the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) appealed to the conscience of humanity to protect the rights of orphans, citing commands and prohibitions to prevent and encourage them. When it comes to caring for orphans and protecting their rights, it is wrong to understand only their material needs. Particular attention was paid to meeting his spiritual and psychological needs, not to harm his personality, to contribute to his growth as a useful person in society.
