Abstract

The Pit Requalification and Surveillance Programs are managed and operated by the Special Nuclear Material (SNM) Division at the U.S. Department of Energy Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas, and are vital to maintaining the safety, security, and reliability of the nation's nuclear weapons stockpile, thereby, providing an essential deterrent arsenal on behalf of the U.S. and its allies.
