Abstract

The Picture of Little G.C. in a Prospect of Flowers George David Clark (bio) Beyond the hill a gatheringof eggplant-grays is fraughtwith volts and latheringwhile background elms blow tautand molten in the spill. Seeming almost to admirethe child among them, these blossoms nodtheir puny lightning rodsand lean into his laplike fingers toward a fire. They are not real flowers though.They're flytrapswith open mouthsso petal-pink they echoorchids in their blowze. The year-old boy, in overallsand ball cap, squinchesup his face to caterwauland mauls awayat the anthology of pinches. He has no history to keephim calm before a throngof rabid hazards.
