Abstract

Investigations of the value of a constant dot spacing for the colour print-out of a Picker MagnaScanner III have been made using an astable multivibrator primarily designed to calibrate the colour print-out and photo-scan. With an arrangement similar to that of McCready and Beechey (1967), pulses were passed directly into the colour print chassis through plug 2806-D, in place of the signal from the pulse chassis. Results were encouraging and a circuit has now been built which takes fuller advantage of the facilities of the scanner circuitry.
