The Phytochemical Society of North America: Its First Thirty Years, 1961-1991

Abstract

The Phytochemical Society of North America (PSNA) evolved from a more specialized organization, the Plant Phenolics Group of North America (PPGNA), which was organized in 1961. Thus, although it is not technically true that the PSNA is celebrating its 30th anniversary, we can regard 1991 as the 30th year of the present society together with its precursor group, many of whose members are still active in the PSNA.
