Abstract

Relevance: The WHO states the importance of all professions working with lifestyle changes in order to decrease the incidence of non-communicable disease. One disease that can be prevented both primarily and secondary by lifestyle interventions is stroke. Stroke is common worldwide and affects both men and women. A common warning signal for stroke is transient ischemic attack (TIA). Physiotherapists have the potential to effectively counsel patients with respect to lifestyle behavior changes.
