Abstract

The Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J‐PARC) has been in construction under a cooperation of two institutions, KEK and Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA, the former JAERI) since April, 2001. After a short summary of the current status of the project, the physics program in nuclear and particle physics at J‐PARC is described.
