Abstract

The linear attenuation coefficients μ (cm −1) and total mass attenuation coefficients μ ρ (cm 2 g −1) of γ-rays for barite, marble and limra have been calculated using the XCOM program (Version 3.1) at energies from 1 keV to 300 MeV. The calculated results were compared with the estimation coefficients μ ρ based on the measured total linear attenuation coefficients ( μ).
