Abstract
Cross sections for the photodissociation of ground state CH + ions through absorption into the A 1Π state are calculated for the lowest three vibrational levels. At threshold the cross sections for υ″ = 0, 1 and 2 are respectively 5.0 × 10 −20 cm 2, 8.1 × 10 −19 cm 2 and 2.6 × 10 −18 cm 2.
