Abstract

The A 1Π-X 1Σ + photodissociation cross section is calculated for temperatures of 0 and 300 K, including direct transitions to the continuum and indirect photodissociation via transitions to quasi-bound levels of the A 1Π state. The photodissociation rate at 0 K for the A-X system is also presented. The results are smaller than predicted previously.
