Abstract
The results of calculations of the total and partial photoionisation cross-sections of neutral Europium and its ions in the photon energy range from the threshold up to 270 eV are presented. The calculations were performed within the multi-channel Spin-Polarized Random Phase Approximation with Exchange. The main attention is given to the giant autoionizing resonance associated with the 4d → 4f discrete transition to vacant states in the 4f 7 subshell. The comparisons with experimental data obtained recently and the results of previous calculations are made.
