Abstract
1. 1. Dormant barley seeds contain at least 7 acid phosphatases. This number increases to more than 25 when the seeds are allowed to germinate for 120hr. 2. 2. The appearance of a number of these phosphatases is insensitive to actinomycin-D. 3. 3. The various enzyme forms were separated by means of ion exchange chromatography and gel electrophoresis.
