Abstract

Phonemic replacement is a common linguistic phenomenon in Arabic language, it means the substitution of one letter or sound instead of another with keeping the rest sounds ,this practice exists in Arabic language since the revelation of the Glorious Quran, The Almighty Allah eased the recitation of His book for Arab Muslims or non-Arabs by practicing a phenomenon like this. All the Ten reliable Quranic recitations included the phenomenon of phonemic replacement in different places for simplification and easiness. Also, it is in all dialects of Arab tribes which is attributed to the closeness of articulation
