Abstract

The following characteristics are considered for a charged-particle telescope under isotropic irradiation: (a) directional response function; (b) geometric factor; (c) response functions for telescope detectors; (d) distribution of particles entering the telescope in path length and energy loss in the transmission detector; (e) distribution of particles entering the telescope in the projection of their range onto the symmetry axis of the instrument. The relation between these characteristics and the ways of their derivation are shown.
