Abstract

The percutaneous axillary vein approach is presented as an additional method for performing percutaneous selective pulmonary angiography. Catheterization was successful in 89% of an 80 patient series. No permanent adverse sequelea to catheterization were seen in this series, although minor reactions, including discomfort at the pllncture site, hematoma, transiept bleeding, and urticaria occurred in 11 cases.
