Abstract

The effect of NaClO 4 concentration on the R f value for [Fe(CN) 6] 4−, [Fe(CN) 6] 3−, [FeNO(CN) 5] 2−, [Au(CN) 2] −, CrO 2− 4, [PtCl 4] 2−, CNS − and [AuCl 4] − on DEAE cellulose thin layers is studied. Perchlorate is shown to have strong desorbing effect on all the anions, known as the perchlorate effect. Nitrate behaves similarly but less effectively.
