Abstract

People management, due to the search, development, and maintenance of talent, has been increasingly highlighted in organizations, and is currently considered strategic in companies in general. In this context, this study aimed to conduct a survey to verify the importance of the internship process, a gateway to the job market, in the perception of the interns themselves. The sample included Brazilian and Angolan interns, without the intention of segmenting or comparing them, as the focus was on the process and internship conditions in both countries. They are contextualized to situations related to interns in Angola and Brazil. The study shows that there are several factors to be improved and gaps to be filled by both educational institutions and grantor organizations, to make this process more efficient and effective for training new talent with gains for all stakeholders. As a limitation of the study, a small sample is recognized, which does not allow generalization of the results, which is why it is suggested to conduct new studies that can be generalized in both countries.
