Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Determine the profile of Belat fishermen who catch on the Kedindingan island. 2) Knowing the perception of Belat fishermen towards conservation areas on the island of the wall. The sampling method used is a saturated sampling technique, which is sampling as a whole from the existing population, which is as many as 7 respondents. The data analysis method used is the Likert scale to determine the opinions or perceptions of fishermen on the designation of conservation areas. The results of this study show that fishermen’s perceptions based on indicators, cumulatively, internal factors that support the perception of splint fishermen towards the establishment of Kedindingan Island waters as a conservation area are at a value of 34.00 (medium).
