Abstract
The Pedagogic and Instructive Use of Art in Primary School: The Case of Shadow Puppet Theatre
Highlights
We discuss modern methods of teaching that are included in various institutional texts, which concern the above school level, such as the Cross Thematic Curriculum Framework (D.E.P.P.S.) and the “Analytic Curricoulae” (A.P.S.)
Several approaches are presented regarding the particularities of this form of drama and the advantages and disadvantages in regard to its introduction in the educational process
Instructive proposals are presented on the use of this form of drama - in the frame of Cross Thematic Approach of Education - for almost all subjects taught in Primary School

Όλα τα παραπάνω (σκοποί και στόχοι) τόσο σε πολιτισμικό και παιδαγωγικό επίπεδο όσο και σε διδακτικό θεωρούμε ότι εξυπηρετούνται με τον καλύτερο δυνατό τρόπο μέσα από την αξιοποίηση της τέχνης στο σχολείο και ειδικότερα του Θεάτρου Σκιών για το οποίο γίνεται λόγος στο παρόν άρθρο. Πριν όμως μιλήσουμε για την ένταξη του Θεάτρου Σκιών στη διδασκαλία, ας δούμε μέσα από τα διδακτικά εγχειρίδια –τα οποία αποτελούν εφαρμογή των παραπάνω προθέσεων της πολιτείας- κατά πόσο έρχεται σε επαφή ο μαθητής στο σχολείο με το Θέατρο Σκιών, το οποίο αναμφισβήτητα αποτελεί μια αυθεντική μορφή λαϊκής τέχνης και μια σημαντική έκφανση του πολιτισμού μας.
