Abstract

This paper addresses the disparities between countries in terms of development and income levels. It analyzes the main characteristics of globalization and the roles of the state, enterprises, organized labour, civil society, the media, and the multilateral system. Economic and social dimensions of globalization that work towards productive employment are equally important when considering making globalization a fairer process. To achieve fairer globalization for all, the paper emphasizes the need for ethical frameworks, consensus through dialogue, and international institutions to be more coherent for global action.
