Abstract

Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) is a recognized disease where elastic-type pulmonary arteries are narrowed by unresolved pulmonary thrombi. Surgical intervention to remove organized and organizing thrombi is the treatment of choice. We present the histopathologic findings of a cohort of pulmonary artery thromboendarterectomy.
