Abstract

Pulmonary mycotoxicosis (PM) is an acute systemic reaction to the inhalation of massive amounts of dust generated from moldy silage in a filled silo.1 The clinical presentation of these patients is frequently confused with farmer's lung disease, but is not related to silo gas. Less than half of these individuals have antibodies to the organisms which cause farmer's lung.
