Abstract

Path integral approach is adopted to investigate how the probability distributions of a general system evolves in time if the transition rates between states are known. We derive a set of Feynman rules which can greatly simplify the calculation of the evolution of the probability distribution. Although our method is perturbative in nature, an exact solution can be obtained in some interesting cases. We illustrate our model by solving the rate of E1 and E2 elimination reactions.
