Abstract

At a Neolithic site, Kverrestad, in southeastern Scania, southernmost Sweden, there is evidence of mass destruction of axes and other flint and stone artefacts by the use of fire. The site and its finds are described and discussed in the context of the use of fire and flint in ritual activities during the Neolithic of southern Scandinavia.
