Abstract
This research aims at identifying the awareness degree and rural woman participation in the following activities: children education and health care, farming decision-making, plant production, poultry and livestock production, and food processing. Furthermore, the research addressed the significant relationship between independent studied variables and rural woman participation in the previous activities. The research was conducted on 80 rural women from Shinwan and Meselha villages, selected randomly among Shebin Elkom district at Menofiya Governorate. A field questionnaire was used to collect data through personal interviews of rural women at their villages during March and April 2009 period. After the completion of data collection, data was reviewed, classified, tabulated and statistically analysed by using frequency tables, percentages, and simple correlation, in addition to Chi square test.
