Abstract

This study had the goal to assess the experienced lived by undergraduate honor nursing students, involved in research, as participants of the Network for the prevention of occupational accidents with exposure to biological substance – REPAT, acooperative interdisciplinary research network, held among researchers, students, Occupational Health specialists, and hospital representatives from many Brazilian regions. Data were collected by means of a documental research of the work reports of students who were participants in the network. The content of written testimonies were analyzes using a qualitative approach. Results showed that students’ participation offered them knowledge acquisition in terms of how science is produced, research elaboration, the methodologies used to study occupational risks and skills for preventing occupational accidents, besides learning about the applicability of research in the adjustment of safe work activities.
