Abstract
Doryphorophaga doryphorae (Riley) is the predominant parasite of the larva of the Colorado potato beetle, Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Say), in Manitoba. Percentage parasitism was highest in August, after the population density of the host started to decline. The parasite was not efficient at low host densities and percentage parasitism did not increase with increasing host densities; hence D. doryphorae was considered a nonregulatory mortality factor for the Colorado potato beetle.
