Abstract
This investigation deals with statistical analysis of the empirical results published in different papers on Menzerath's law. The comparison of the published results collected on different linguistic levels and in various languages revealed that there might be additional not yet discovered correlations. Therefore, the aim is to find out whether the parameters formalized by Altmann show characteristic values depending on the level of linguistic analysis. The type of functional correlation between the parameters in the equations established by Altmann (1980) is an interesting aspect to be investigated as well as the question if there are clusters forming
