Abstract

Islamic law grows and develops in Indonesia and is formulated in four legal thought products, i.e., fiqh, jurisprudence, law, and fatwa. Problematic Application of Islamic Legal Products in Indonesia is more related to the internal aspects of Muslims who are less dynamic and pay less attention to the developing problem. As a result, static Islamic legal products cannot face the onslaught of the dynamic western legal products. The approach used to analyze data was a normative approach. The results showed that Islamic legal products resulted from the work of ijtihad scholars and fiqh experts/ Islamic law experts. Each of the Islamic legal products has characteristics and particularities. The application of Islamic legal products in Indonesia implicitly raises problems, but explicitly Islamic legal products, in general, have been applied as regulated by the law. Islamic legal products have reliable binding power through a fatwa, judges' decisions, Islamic legal products, and critical reviews have increased diversity awareness. The results of the fatwa gave many legal answers about the actual problems that arise. The establishment of the Religious Courts facilitates justice seekers in solving legal issues. Likewise, the legalization of Islamic law as positive law in the form of laws strengthens the position of Islamic law. Therefore, a more profound elaboration is needed to analyze the polarization of the characteristics of the school of thought's product authority.
