Abstract

The PanDA system was developed by US ATLAS to meet the requirements for high throughput production and distributed analysis processing for the ATLAS Experiment at CERN. The system provides integrated service architecture with late binding of job, maximal automation through layered services, tight binding with the ATLAS Distributed Data Management system, advanced job recovery and error discovery functions, among other features. This paper will present the components and performance of the PanDA system which has been in production in the US since early 2006 and ATLAS wide since the end of 2007.
