Abstract
Angular distribution of the (p,π+) reaction on 6Li, 9Be, 10B, 12C, 16O and 40Ca and of the (p,π−) reaction on 9Be have been measured at 800 MeV. Most of the differential cross sections show a straight exponential slope over the momentum transfer interval between 600 and 800 MeV/c which does not seem to be characteristic of the properties of the final states. High‐spin states are excited with larger cross sections than low spin states.
